Nick Navarro

Producer & Outreach Director


Nick Navarro is passionate about the ability for fashion, art and live entertainment to simulate social change. Nick is currently the CEO of Melange Productions based in San Francisco, CA. Melange has collaborated with partners from around the world, including: Sephora, Jean Paul Gaultier, Nicole Miller, Rio de Janeiro City Hall, UNESCO Artist for Peace, Guila Kessous, and Oscar-winning director, Bill Guttentag. The mission of Melange is to celebrate diversity, self-love, and human rights through fashion & art. The company was founded in 2011, and since then, Melange has produced fashion shows in Brazil, sent models to Paris, judged fashion events in Croatia, and more. 


Nick graduated cum laude in field from Harvard College in 2010, and he recently graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2012. Nick Navarro was a leader in the Harvard fashion community and in 2009, he served as the Executive Producer of Harvard's largest fashion show, Eleganza. Eleganza was produced by Harvard BlackCast with a mission to celebrate diversity, and in this role, Nick worked with Club Monaco, BCBGeneration, Liz Claiborne, Redbull and other sponsors. Nick also developed and managed a brand management program for Juicy Couture when he worked as Marketing Director for the leading online college female publication, Her Campus.


Nick is an advocate for celebrating cultural diversity. He worked with Harvard Business School Professor Richard Hackman by researching cross-cultural teams with Chinese and US team members. Nick has been to China a number of times, traveling to China to deploy wireless mesh technologies at Fuzhou University, and also volunteering as a summer seminar leader at Fudan University. Nick also worked with Harvard Business School Professor Heidi Gardner on expertise utilization in diverse teams, and Nick has also been a leader in organizing and supporting the Latino Ivy League Conference. 


Longstanding mentor of Nick, Guila Clara Kessous, has partnered with him on various projects. Guila was a Creative Director for Jean Paul Gaultier, and she invited Nick to perform at the United Nations as part of a celebration for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Nick has also been an assistant producer for Guila for theatre shows in Avignon, France and at Harvard University.  


Overall, the uniting theme of Nick's eclectic experiences center on his passion for celebrating multiculturalism and harnessing the power of the beautiful diversity of society.
